Bret Michaels was forced to leave the stage whilst performing at his concert in Manchester, New Hampshire last 29th May. Bret seemingly unable to continue, three songs into the performance, and was quickly seen by paramedics on his tour bus.
In a statement posted on Michaels' Facebook page, Evick writes, "Three songs into the set Bret had me sing a song as he rushed off stage... One of the crew returned instantly to notify me that Bret's blood sugar was extremely low.
"He returned to the stage only to announce that he could not continue... He basically had to be dragged off the stage in his sickest of conditions. When I rushed to the bus he could barley speak, but (he) begged me to apologise to the fans and seemed only concerned for them. As of now he is with paramedics being evaluated. We will keep you posted throughout the evening."
Paramedics present at the show immediately responded and 911 was notified. Unable to keep substance in his system complications with his insulin levels and inability to balance his blood sugar levels arose. Michaels was rushed by ambulance to CMC (Catholic Medical Center), and monitored through the evening as doctors tried to bring his blood sugar back to healthy levels.

Michaels' next show (30th May) was scheduled at the Wilkes-Barre, Penn., along with Charlie Daniels Band and Marshall Tucker Band, but only hours before Michaels was supposed to take to the stage an update was posted on his Facebook page: "Under strict medical direction Michaels will not be able to perform this evening in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania as doctors have ordered him to let the flu virus run its course and let his blood sugar rebalance and remain consistent. While hoping to perform tomorrow in Albany, type 1 diabetes complicates health issues such as the noro flu virus and must be monitored and taken very seriously."
Today (31th May) in a new statement posted on Michaels' website, Pete Evick writes "I'm sorry to announce that Bret will not be performing in Albany, NY today (...) it took a team of doctors, friends and family to convince Bret to not return to the stage. He doesn't believe it's the right idea, but those close to him along with all of you I'm sure would rather have him miss one more day and then take the next few days to recover rather than to cause more problems by pushing himself (...) I have no doubt he will be up and running at 100 percent soon. We will certainly be in St Louis next week at Jefferson Barracks Veterans Memorial Amphitheater to continue the party."
